Happy New Year people! Though I know it's a lil' late, but you guys can feel my heartbeat right?! wahaha. okay! New year, new start. Those who are having school, study hard and serve hard amen?! Those who are not having school, serve hard! Don't waste these few months of time. Be good stewards of what we have ya?

Alright, our ESS(s) are coming soooooon! packaged EXcube. EXcite 27 Jan, EXpress 3 Feb and EXperience 10 Feb 07. decor will be on every friday, 5pm @ nexus, starting this week. I'll tell you guys more when you guys appear for decor. =)) details will come out soon after I discuss with Mabel. We will be trying out a more graffiti, streetstyle sort of decor this time.

(dun try to be funny, i can delete ur post!) then password will be changed at 12midnight. =))

ANNOUNCEMENT #2 HEY! instead of giving me presents(buay hiao bai!), why not let's bless our beloved decor store as well! you can just drop it in the decor store anytime. do attach a note like..."Merry Christmas Decor store! this is for you!" ahahaha~ just an example ok! because we really want to save as much church money as possible so that we can pay the debt and move on to a BIGGER place! economise to evangelise, amen? *hint* decor store would like to have more...brushes? sponges? metal scrubs? scotch tape? scissors? penknife? and anything else you can think of. =D

Hello everybody! faithfu here. (wahahaha~ kai en) surely God stirred in all our hearts during this camp! let's really CHIONG for 1000 people and for more breakthroughs in our life! I'm sure if God has brought us to it, he will bring us through it as welL!

those Walls of Jericho are there for us to BREAK! AMEN?!

Praise God for all the volunteers who came to paint, cut, fold, stick, carry throughout these (almost) 2 months of camp preparation, saw commitment, willingness and the servanthood spirit in all of us! A great step to become more like Jesus yeh? YEHHHHHHHHH!!!! *jumps and dances around*

oh btw, i have received MANY (i type again) MANY good comments on the backdropss, jericho wall and campfire. saying that they are VERY nice, VERY cool, VERY funny! (esp the naruto, tinki winki one =D) *applause for MABEL!*

ah! one more God thanking point: congrats to Pui wah, Ric and Cheesun! for winning Best of the Best! and all the rest who were affirmed during your district huddles! cuz i was in the hall, i heard the NW one; and Yongmei, Yanming were blessed with food tooo! wah` Praise God for all of you. Serve hard in your study, pastoral and church ministries! and God will shine his light on yoU!

CAMP IS COMING!

HOWDY! Set up day for camp is Sunday, which is a few hours later. we are meeting at 9:30am at Woodlands interchange to take bus 901. please alight at the 4th stop and proceed to the hall. If you are coming late, it's alright, i will forgive (hahaha!) but if you're coming at 6pm, DO NOT COME! cause we are leaving at that time. yep!

Pray that everything would be fantabulous, let's have a great camp together!

So happy! So happy! Decor later! I'm in love with this ministry! I went tertiary decor to help out teeny bit yesterday. They're really fun-loving, and the results they produce - AMAZING. People who saw what they do will understand why I'm so amazed. I must say that its the result of their dedication, hardwork and passion for God. They seem to be in Nexus everyday. I enjoyed just being there to see see the older korkors n jiejies work. And another thing, I really thank God for my Decor leader Faith, who trust me so much for letting me offer my services to the ministry. I'm very glad she's my leader and I really look up to her. Not only because I want to be submissive, but she deserve it. =)

So many times we give the 'I'll support you' thing to people, it becomes an overstatement. What does it really mean? Is it just a moment of verbal encouragement to make your leaders feel good? Then, that too will last only for a moment, the meaning is shallow. When members do not provide support to the leader, the leader's workload in the group is increased.

Supporting means taking a share of the workload in the group to your best. Its taking the leader's burdens and responsibility as your own.
Supporting means obeying and submitting in your heart.
Supporting means knowing in your heart that your leader is your leader, and you are not the leader. Its accepting that the leader's position in the body of Christ is a divine annointment. Trust God's judgement.
Supporting means even if your leader is ineffective or undeserving, we add value to them. See the best in them.

Supporting is NOT increasing the efficiency of the group, lightening your leader's workload AND THEN pull your leader down emotionally by adding other problems like rebellion, disobedience, etc. Something I've learnt that it is not about staying silent to something about your leader that is not right. Principles cannot be compromised. Rather, its expressing submissively to assist your leader in improving to be a better leader, a better servant of God. If a person is not even aware his/her own weaknesses, how to change right?

In all, the group is not made up of one person who is the representative but members, individuals.

Hi all, I'm here to post my CHRISTMAS WISHLIST! LOL. Nah, just kidding. If not our dear leader cum hou3 peng2 you3 - Yi You, will bar me from this blog. Nonetheless, you can look up to that at my blog. Lol. =x

This has been a tiring week for all, 3 continues days of Decor. Personally, Even I feel abit drained, yet very satisfied. =) Not only the productivity, but also seeing all of you! 'Pretty, chio and cute' Monster A.K.A Dawn, who is here with us for the first time. She ~~terrorised~~ everyone, still she's brought alot of joy to the group, same applies to my pastoral unit since we're both in East B. Wei Feng, he's currently not in any ministry but we've enjoyed his presence very much, especially his shepherd(Hallelujah =x). This is an inside joke. Ric has exams this week which 'feels like taking O levels', quoted by him. I'm very encouraged by his effort to contribute still. Also Jeslin, our super hyper new-but-not-so-young member of the group, thank you for coming after work even though your parents wants you to be home early! And all the other people who came and didn't come for some reasons, its all these extra efforts you made for the love of Christ that really spurrs me on. Even though my engrish is not good, this is something I wanna make known - we have a strong Decor team in Y-Hope. =)

Let's continue striving on not only in efficiency, but also in love. So far, we're halfway through the gala dinner backdrops and closing camp prop. As we work to prepare for the camp, seek to prepare our hearts too. Be in tuned to God! I'm glad we're all in this together. I LOVE this ministry! xD

Updates: Tania's blog addy up! Thanks to Huaxiang for reminding me that there's Church Prayer Meet this Friday at Kallang Threatre, therefore no decor. Hence, decor will be on Mon, Tue (we'll be helping to set up a xmas tree! =D) and Wed, 5pm at reception.

2nd Announcement: A short film that I've done with my friends in poly will be shown in THECathay Level 4 Lounge tmr (friday) and Sunday. *yay!* I'm not asking you guys to go and watch...but understand!! that as you plan and you do God's work, God will honour you back. whee~
3rd Announcement: A poster that I submitted to MUJI (japanese store: can be found in j8..bugis..that one la) for their competition was displayed at Paragon last weekend. *yay!* (reasoning refer to above)
4th Announcement: All those O Level ppl, STUDY HARDD! finish O lvl, come back to decor ok!
5th Announcement: Remember to do your Camp Devotions. very impt ah- if you dun want to waste your money (that's $100 of savings) prepare your heart in this 40 day devotion so that your life can be thoroughly transformed during camp. =D

Hellos. This is your good friend, Faith Yi you~ =D Dates of when we will be coming back to nexus to do decor is as follow. Later, you might realise that it's actually mon, [EDIT: WED] and fri of every week (except 27-1 Dec: due to the crash course) all the way until camp.but out of the 3 days, you are encouraged to come for at least twice, cuz we are now rushing for YOUTH CAMP, YOUTH XMAS and CHURCH LEVEL XMAS in the month of November and early Dec.. aha~ the 3 events seem bigger and bigger, but fear not! if we are faithful, God will provide and God will bring us through it with higher standards than before!! yes and amen. so let's be faithful and committed. btw, u guys can also pull all ye nothing-to-do cg mates to come and be volunteers as well! better to build up a condo in heaven then play maple or dota at home yea? =))

Decor dates: 6, 8, 10, 13, 15, 17, 20, 22, 24, 27(after crash course), 30(after crash course)Nov, 1 Dec, 4, 6, 8 Dec. -----> 11 YOUTH CAMP.

15 Dec (to set up xmas decor in nexus) ----> 16 Dec Youth Xmas.

Timing: 5pm at reception.

Things to take note: bring newspapers. =)) to put on the carpet...so that we wun dirty it with the paint and stuff. =)) (we wanna keep the place where God's people meet clean! and free from cockroaches! dun bring food in)

Actually I wanted to upload the photos we took yesterday at the Esplanade for the Parachute Concert, but blogger hates me. Anyway, those we hilarious. (Duh, with monkey Nigel in them. =x) You can see them in my blog though. =) -Mabel

Today is the first day of Camp Decor preparations! Thank God for all who came down today! Especially Jeslin from East A, who's here with us for the first time! She lost her way to the reception. HAHA. =x Anyway, I'm very encouraged by her enthusiasm and her willingness to serve. Let's welcome her to this Decor family with open arms! =) Salutes to all my fellow co-workers.

Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men. Since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.

As workers who work behind the scene, we must always be reminded at all times that its God we're serving. So take pride in the responsibility God has given us - the Decor team. I really believe in the saying that no contribution is too small or insignificant. Each and everyone of us is very valuable in building up this ministry. =) The letter 'A' drawn by Jeslin today goes a long way. The signs drawn and painted by Liping today goes a long way. The papers pasted together to form the backdrops and the signs painted by Ying Jie and Xuan Ting goes a long way. The really cute hat done by Xuan Ting goes a long way. The measurings and sharpening of pencils cum drawing up the Mama Shop sign done by Nigel goes a long way. And so on and forth for those people who are faithfully serving but not here with us today. Like what Pastor Shirley always say: 'Now, you have a gold toiletbowl in heaven.' That's quite a joke but I really believe and agree that God rewards those who are faithful and commited to Him. I understand that during these 1 and a half month, it would be pretty taxing for all you out there since we'll be meeting so often, especially the ones whom I know of that have other commitments to tend to. I feel for you. But let's face this period of time joyfully in expectation of God's blessings and a time of spiritual awakening. Let's continue to give our best for the Kingdom! I'm one very blessed person to be in this together with all of you. =)

I've got MANY free tickets to see the Parachute Band @ the Esplanade, tonight, 8pm! Its a Christian Band from Australia. Tell me if you want to go, can of course ask around to see if any body in your group wants to go to. =) Since I suppose the Esplanade is an arty-farty place, maybe we can go there to check out the designs too. Btw, I heard from my sister that the esplanade has got super chio guitars on sale. =D I'm not exactly sure on that, but the point is, come to enjoy yourself! x) Tell me the number of tickets you want, or we can go together as the decor team, if not the tickets would be very wasted. Inform me ASAP! =)

Breakthrough Camp Preperation

Starting from nect week, Decor will be on every monday, wednesday and friday till camp. But at this week, it will only be on friday. Fridays are compulsory. There is only 6 weeks to prepare! Please inform your team leaders if you are coming down. Don't be afraid to give any comments or suggestions. =) And lastly, please bring as many newspapers as you can for the next 6 weeks! We need it to built a sculpture. =)

I'm sure everyone is excited for camp yeh? So are we excited to work to make this camp even more exciting! Come come! =D
